Autodeutsche is a German car specialist that offers a variety of services for Audi, Volkswagen, Mercedes, and BMW vehicles, among others. I was drawn in by the home page's impactful taglines, which gave me a good idea of what the company is best known for. While the site does not make use of many personable images, I did like the powerful look of the car-focused imagery and how it reinforces the company's branding.
I liked the inclusion of a "Knowledge Base" page and how well it caters to visitors that may be in search of local mechanic information, maintenance tips, or answers to common vehicle-related FAQs. I also liked how densely packed the footer menu is with important details, such as the shop's address, opening hours, and industry accreditations.
On desktop, the website has a tasteful appearance that's mostly due to its spacious page layouts and high-quality images. I enjoyed the variety of content available and the "History" page in particular made an impression on me since it goes into detail about the company's long-established operations.
However, I think some minor design tweaks can be made to the site, such as a higher contrast ratio between the body text and the background, to enhance the overall user experience. The home page scored 65/100 in the performance category on Google's PageSpeed Insights test, showing some room for improvement with the site's page loading times.
I liked the mobile website's streamlined appearance and how quickly the on-page elements loaded, but I do think there's some room for improvement with the spacing of certain sections, particularly the client testimonials block on the home page. That being said, the use of ample white space helped to break up some text-heavy sections, which eased readability.
The home page's performance score of 31/100 on Google's PageSpeed Insights indicates slow page loading times, but our real-world tests noted a more intuitive and user-friendly experience.
